Description

Fascinated by early morning sweet rhythmic chant of a red robed monk echoing on a hill outside of a monastery, I did this Bhutan Memory painting. I placed a raven in front of the monk as if the chant was to spiritualise the raven. Incidentally, raven – called Jurog in country?s language –? is the national bird of Bhutan. Here the progress is measured by Happiness Index.This vibrant painting done on Yupo paper gives a very bright and happy feel – lifting up viewer?s mood. While there is some brushwork in the painting, sponge rollers were used to give special texture to the ground, and the sky. This painting can be hung together with vk-243 and vk-244
